This is where I grin evilly and tell you that I've been shopping.

Which - as regulars know - means LOADS of genetic experiments and quite a few macros. Picture round almost sorted.
Music round will be brought to you by the colour blue. Gone in 60+ or "traditional", not sure yet how much time I've got for extravaganzas...
One question round - as asked for, and announced - will be geography, travel, landmarks, "Around the world in 10 questions".
The second question round will be "At the movies" - sights, sounds, and 'ssorted BS.

Leaves us (or me) with no idea for round 3. As usual, suggestions are welcome. If I don't get any I'll make up stuff. True or False doesn't take much time & effort :)

Lost and sound

It might sound like the old excuse with the homework-eating dog but I seem to have lost (or at least temporarily misplaced) last Thursday's points...
In a feeble attempt to make up for it, I thought I'd post a few pix and questions to remind you what got you the points in the first place (and for those of you who had to leave early, to show you what you missed :)) - genetix & macros first... (answers in the comment)

First contact

I knew there was something I had forgotten.
As I heard last night, reserving a table sometimes seems to be a problem. I know I said the best way would be to call the Kilkenny but apparently that doesn't always work.

Here's 5 ways of getting your precious seats:

A) tell me directly after the quiz, that way the memory is fresh and I can put your name in the book right away
B) send me a mail to quiz_miz@hotmail.com, I normally check that account at least once a day. And I always confirm the reservation.
C) leave a comment on the blog
D) if it's Thursday already, do phone the Kilkenny directly((030) 283 20 84), it's the only way to find out if there are still tables available
E) chance it and just turn up on Thursday night but risk sitting on the floor in a corner where you can't see a thing :)

Remember, the later you make your reservation, the lesser your chance to get the table you want or any table at all. Some nights are more quiet than others but do not take free tables for granted. Even if you're regulars. There's no preferential treatment for anyone, and no guarantees.

And to help you get what you want, here's the floor plan with the table numbers and the maximum number of people you could fit around them without sitting on top of each other (unless that's what you want... but should save for the bedroom :)

This little piggy

.. unfortunately has to cancel the quiz plans. I have a job that needs to get finished tonight and the hours are dwindling. Which should not keep you from putting your knowledge to the test. Go, win, and make me proud :))
Work also means that I won't have the time to put questions, points & links up here. Yet. I will. Eventually.

I'ts 2am and before I can't remember later today...

It's quiz night at the Happy Pig tonight (Friday) and I'm going.. if anyone cares to join me...here's where
Just 3 minutes off Ostkreuz.. cute little pub, (comparatively) cheap beer, and you can smoke :)
Quiz starts at 9pm, it's 50 questions on a sheet, 40 minutes time. No charge (as far as I know), and a bottle of whisk(e)y as first prize... rest of the details I forgot.


Recommended reading (not for the quiz :) Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, and 1984.

Oh you ain't seen nothing yet... I've just found macro shots that'll last us at least until but probably way beyond Quiky 300.
