Das fängt ja gut an - Denk Mal! Quiz 2019

Bald ist das alte (Quiz-)Jahr Geschichte und bevor wir ein neues starten testen wir gleich am 3. Januar 2019 nochmal, wer 2018 aufgepaßt hat.

Traditionell ist das erste Quiz im neuen Jahr eine Rückblende auf Ereignisse, Personen, Trends, Musik und assorted bullshit die im alten Jahr Schlagzeilen gemacht haben (basically die 'current affairs' Runden der letzten 20 Quizzes).

Wer nicht immer dabei war oder aus Alters- oder anderen Gründen die Hälfte schon wieder von der internen Festplatte ausgelagert oder überschrieben hat, der braucht sich nur die derzeit üblichen Jahresrückblicke anschauen oder durchlesen, oder einfach mal die 2018er Wikipedia-Seiten überfliegen.
Die Quiz Champions League geht dann am 17. Januar in die 4. Runde.

Wer am 3. Januar dabei sein möchte sollte sich am besten in der Denkmal Lounge einen Tisch sichern. Natürlich gibt's auch im neuen Jahr wieder Extra-Punkte zu ergattern. Die Vorhersage der Woche bringt bis zu 8 Punkte und dieses Mal habt ihr die Wahl zwischen Fußball von der Insel und Skispringen.

Ho ho ho --- Merry Quizmas 2018

Es weihnachtet sehr und wie in jedem Jahr ist es Zeit für das letzte Quiz des alten Jahres. Und wie in jedem Jahr ist Quizmas, Wilde oder nicht, eine bunte Mischung aus festlichen Fragen, reindeer and other games, sweets & drinkies und wundervoller Weihnachtsmusik (außer Last Christmas).
Wer Lust hat auf Weihnachts-Quiz-Party der möge sich schnell noch einen Tisch in der Denkmal Lounge sichern. Natürlich kann man am Abend noch spontan dazu kommen, allerdings sind dann bunte Teller und Teilnahme an bestimmten Spielereien nicht garantiert denn ich bereite mich aus Zeitgründen nur auf die angemeldeten Teams vor.

Die teilnehmenden Teams dürfen noch bis Mittwoch 22 Uhr 5 weihnachtsbezogene Fragen (samt richtiger Antworten) einreichen, die dann aus der Weihnachtsmannmütze gezogen werden und einige garantierte Punkte mit sich bringen.
Anzugsordnung wie immer, Santa hats, Rudolph antlers und andere festliche Dekorationen sind gern gesehen (und werden u.U. wohlwollend honoriert)

We finally found the time to crown the new Champions. Congratulations to CannonballZ who earned their third star *** and are Champions for the next 9 quizzes. We also started the new CL season and agreed to shorten it to 10 games, best 5. Pünktchens haben schon mal einen vorgelegt ;)

There are two more quizzes in 2018, one regular (CL) quiz on 6 December, and the annual Quizmas party on 20 December. If you want in please phone Denkmal Lounge and book your table. Forgive me, Queops, for one again I have been tardy. RL had grabbed the reins and galloped off.. but I've got back on track. So have the (mostly) regular quiz nights...

We end season 18 of our Quiz Champions League this Thursday, with CannonBallZ looking like sure-fire champs (there are only so many miracles left in this world).. Any team, old or newbie, is welcome to try and at least take the victory on Thursday, so that BallZ might not get too big for their boots ;)

On 1 November we start with the new Quiz Champions League season, open for all who want to take their chance of grabbing that trophy and bragging to friends, colleagues or family. The next dates are 15 November, and probably 22 November as well.

DenkMal! Quiz - March Madness & first CL rankings

Forgive me, Qeops, for I have neglected you. It has been more than 2 weeks since our last quiz.

Before we kick off DMQ#4 on Thursday 1 March (at 7.30pm sharp!!) let me quickly give you winners and not-quite-so-much-winners of DMQ#3.
Die zwei 3 lustigen Fragenzeichen (fka Fietscherings******) took the second win of the new Champions League season and beat CannonballZ** again. This time by a few more points than in the previous quiz. Special congratulations to Noobs who played a stellar fifth round and beat 'oldies' Pünktchens and QwA to take third place!!!

Since our first attempt at starting the Denk Mal! Quiz proper in 2018 turned out to be a damp squib we shall give it one more shot.

Denk Mal! Quiz #1 kicks off on Thursday 18 January at 7.30pm. Or thereabouts ;)

2017 is but a faint memory now so we'll forgo the 2017 Review Quiz and start with Champions League Season 19!!!! and a totally 'normal' quiz. Well, regular quiz at least. Same old rules, same old format, brand new questions.

Nachdem DMQ #1 leider eine Fehlzündung war (bis auf die 3 hardcore teams) versuchen wir es einfach noch einmal.

2017 saw endings and new beginnings and since we now have a new 'home' we'll keep old traditions alive and start the year with the big 2017 REVIEW QUIZ.
