Wilde .. is the new black

It's back to the roots. Again. For the last time.

After the bunch of fun that was Ye Wilde Halloween Quiz, we'll continue with 'normal' quizzes (Champions League & others). And we start on Thursday 5 November, at the usual 8pm. Champions League Season 16, game 5. Seven tables are still up for grabs, if you want one, send us a mail or leave a message in the facebook group.
Pünktchens have Yogi and the rest will be here at the weekend.

Halloween - Hallo, Quiz!!!

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose... No matter what, time-honoured traditions should be upheld. And thus we shall meet for the annual Wilde Halloween Quiztravaganza.
Dress up (there will be points & other rewards for best costume), grab your garlic, search fur (sic) some fierce-looking fangs, dust off your broom, brush up on all things dead and undead and come down to Oscar Wilde Irish Pub (Friedrichstraße 112A) on Thursday 29 October. The traditional 8pm (or thereabouts)...
We're gonna have all sorts of gruesome and garish, as well as games, and guaranteed loads of fun. Nuts and drinks go without saying...

UPDATE: THE BOOK IS CLOSED. NO MORE TABLES FOR THE CREEPFEST.

And who knows, if it works out okay, we might have the odd (ir)regular quiz later this year...

Strange colours, scarecrows, Seid Bereit!, und Schluß? - Q3#017

Despite the manageable crowd, the 3 hours of our annual Ossi!Ossi!Ossi!quiz were tons of fun. Definitely the best part of Monday. Thanks to the faithful few for turning up, and turning it on :)
As for results, DAQ******* .... (you can fill in the rest for yourselves ;)
EastieGraces took 2nd place (sorry 'bout that round of drinks).. and Pünktchen totally lived up to their role as new Quizzicals ;)

This is the vorerst last CL table. Pity we have to stop not even half way through the season, before other teams get the chance to catch (up with) DAQ*******.
Since the numbers are dwindling, and it seems impossible at the moment to resolve some things with the Kilkenny, there is no date for the next quiz. 

I'm trying to find a location for the Halloween quiz, preferably the Thursday before. Would hate to see that tradition go. 

In the meantime, have a nice October, don't stray too far and watch this space, I'm trying to works things out. If only to finish CL season 16.

As almost every week - apologies. For the tardiness in updating, RL is keeping me busy (in my defence, or as my excuse - most queops read the fb page, almost no one comes here anyway :).

Anyroad, once again thanks to all teams who were not stricken by the current flu wave and did turn up for Q3#014 - mit euch spiel ich am liebsten ;)
Really enjoyed having three lovely new teams even though some of them were just in for that one night. The things you learn from Swedes

Congrats to DAQ******* on that 'yellow streak' (3 wins in 3 weeks) ;) - nice 44 point lead but that's only week 3 of CL season 16. We shall see...
Congrats also to 4-2-almostWON, and apologies again, I'm sorry you didn't get that hard-earned and well-deserved round in the end (nicely played on that boybandjokerround ;) .. some things are beyond my control. I promise I'll make it up to you, if I have to buy you that round myself ...
For most CL teams, Thursday's scores will probably be Streichergebnisse in the end but you never know when attendance/POTW points might make the difference :D

Silenced lambs, Summer Rain & Cidermen - Season 16, Q3#013

Klein aber fun, that was Q3#013. The new season started with old champions bagging the first first ;) and two Graces taking second. Much fun was had by all, especially P&A-A in the music round :) .. looks as if they're worthy successors to Quizzicals (who were missed, massively)

But.. we said HELLO!!! to newbies Cidermen (aka Spidermen or Cybermen) who fit in just nicely and enjoyed the evening so much that, despite (or because of?) Yogi, they decided to return next week and give it another go. (They also picked a lovely Yogi topic ;) which many other teams are going to like, too)

POTW comes in separate post, CL table is not much use yet after one week, so here's the points and places.
