Another fun night, with lovely new teams, good behaviour, and only mildly weird questions (according to some of you anyway... I thought they were all perfectly normal(ish) ;)
BRAZIL (aka DAQ*****) took their third first out of five, and opened up a wee gap at the top. Then again, still 7 weeks to play, the game is still very much on.
Quizzicals are probably renaming themselves (again) and take solace in the fact that there are another 7 weeks
Graces* came close second and went back up to third, and P&A had another great night with their second best ever score (because of A, or the Muppet round or despite... ?)

Smart Schnitzel have Yogi (Sunday 9pm) and I'd better start working on next week's questions.

We have the prerequisite 6 teams for TUESDAY 2 December so we're having ourselves a nice little quiz. I for one have wicked plans and topics ;)
WQ#166 is a regular CL quiz on Thursday 11 December (Bergfest, for the Champions League teams ... time to start working on the Streichergebnisse ;)

NOTE: We can no longer accept reservations for groups of more than 10 people. Past quizzes have shown that big groups, even if split up, have things other than quiz in mind when descending upon Oscar's on Thursday night. If it's (pre) Christmas party with your friends/work mates you're after, here's a tip. Enjoy.

QUeops, this is our chance to have a 'normal' quiz again, just the Scooby Gang, and one or two QUinterested additions (4-2-Won, Engel..?). We could do vids, and nice new silly pics in the music round, and stuff we haven't had the chance to do for a while. *excited* 

I'll keep an eye on the book for personae non gratae.

Our annual WILDE QUIZMAS is the last one of 2014, Thursday 18 December, 8pm. The usual sweets & treats, games, riddles, and seasonal silliness&songs. (Hope it doesn't turn out like Halloween) 

Again, please confirm/book/cancel - we need time to prepare, plan, shop, decorate. This one is Reservation Only, deadline is Thursday 11 December.

Then we have a 3-week break !!!!! WQ#168 is on 8 January 2015. Whether we do our annual New Year's 2014 Review Quiz, or a regular CL one, our count Review as CL - still up for debate.

Soooooo.... after a night of mixed... teams, and before I head into the weekend - points, places, plans. Pics.

Congrats to Fantastic Four who managed to beat all the previous and reigning champions, and fight off LetsGetThisSortedThisSeason who admittedly had a fantastic Endspurt and, with a different joker choice, could have won by a country mile. Up to 3rd though.. and 9 weeks to go :D
BRAZIL got another point on Fietschs and are gaining ground, and P&A(-A) - YOU GO GIRLS!!!

Discipline was once more an issue, as feared/expected. Pity that so few can spoil the evening for so many. We're working on solutions, maybe 'Reisegruppen' reservations will no longer be accepted, that way we cut out the 'party' element. For now, the Blacklist is growing. 

That said, most teams seemed to have fun... Glad to see that Pub-Nasen were not deterred by being 'Lasties' and threw their hat in the ring for next week. Looking forward to your Yogi topics, you have till Monday 9pm ;)

WQ#163 tonight is BOOKED OUT. There is a slight chance of teams cancelling last minute, or not turning up, thus freeing a table. But it's VERY SLIGHT. If you want to chance it....

Also, word to the wise - it may be called WILDE quiz but it's a QUIZ, NOT a PARTY. A modicum of discipline is expected. If you come for the fun and drinking only, don't piss off the other teams who want to riddle (and the QuizMiz). Stay in the front bar.

Stammer, stamps & Störenfriede WQ#162

Another night of good & bad. I do apologize to the people who came to play the quiz, as opposed to partying and not giving a ***: As nights are getting colder and quizzes are getting fuller..similar situations might arise again. I promise I'm working on preventive measures to avoid such mayhem in the future. (suggestions welcome). Even put me off my game. For starters, 'The List' is getting longer...
