Well, that went ... well, what a final. Didn't go quite as planned, due to some people who just didn't get it and didn't really enjoy it either but hung around till the end nonetheless. Mostly fun though, some nice new teams who are welcome any time.. looking forward to seeing Oscar's Mild (or was the Oscar Smiled?) again on 5 March - you rock!

Congrats to old, and new, Championes DAQ****** (I'm running out of stars) - clearly deserved with 8 wins out of 12 this season. Better than Brazil now, and with a new Champions League record - 591 points!! .. almost broke through the 600 barrier. Also the only century break this season. Impressive, but where from here?

(word to the wise - those of you who were shouting 'langweilig' last night ;) - go and do something about it - Season 14 kicks off on 26 February :D )

Quizzicals had a mighty Endspurt but a tiny bit too late. Still - congrats on Vice Champions title, no mean feat .. I am looking forward to season 14 when you ATTACK DAQ!

Since Oscar's Mild won't be in for #165, no one has the Yogi for next week .. all mine, all mine.

We haven't had one for a while (and yesterday's Toon game would have provided a nice one :) but as pointed out to me so astutely - it's Super Bowl Sunday and Prediction of the Week time.

For 2 points, predict the following

Capacity crowd, mixed mythology, Blaues Wunder & no noise control - WQ#171

Sorry 'bout the wait but I've had a busy week(end) ..

Quick round-up of WQ#171 then.. first 'full' full house in a while, even had to send people away. Downside of maximum crowd - noise & disciplinary issues (and don't get me started about the state some people leave their table in.. srsly, do you do that at home?!? The purpose of a beer mat is NOT being shredded and strewn all over the floor. If you're bored, leave.. or don't come in in the first place. If you need to keep your fingers busy - bring a Rubik's cube.... Rant over.) Anyroad, apologies again for the volume level, hasn't happened for a while, will be dealt with. Nice to never see some teams again.

So - on to the 'serious' stuff :D

WQ#171 was not exactly a high score game but good results throughout, and some teams made up ground on the finishing stretch. Quizzicals OHSOVERYNEARLY missed gold, and BRAZIL 'made' another beatable Streichergebnis for themselves... very clever ;)

We have only 3 tables left for WQ#172 and if last week was any indication, it's gonna be full house again, if you want in, phone Oscar's asap. Most people only (try to) book their table on Thursday afternoon, that's a wee bit late.
Also, if you cancel please do it early, NOT JUST 5 MINUTED BEFORE KICK-OFF. I had to send away some 15 people last week.. every table is needed.. and nost just 8.15 pm.
