Reservations - FGAWHBAQ

Frequently given answers without having been asked questions #34 (again):
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME MAILS (or facebook messages) TO BOOK YOUR TABLE. There are only 2 ways to do this:
1. tell me on Thursday night after the quiz and I put you in the book
2. Phone Oscar Wilde 2828166.

I have no idea what the reservations book looks like until I get to the pub on Thursday evening (or sometimes on Saturdays for the football but then I don't give one..) and if you tell ME I would have to phone Oscar's to reserve for YOU.... and srsly..?!?


You can give me a heads-up so that I know what/whom to be prepared for but that just counts as being nice and considerate (and might help you when I choose my topics/tunes)..

BTW - the same goes for cancellations.

Yogi No Go

Since Pigs in Space failed to send their 3 favouritestest topics for this week's Yogi Round the choice - like fog on the Tyne - is all mine. I will however consider any suggestions sent in by Tuesday 7pm. No guarantee though :)
As repeated ad nauseam, ANY team can make ANY suggestions for rounds they would like to see on the topic list. ANYtime. New ideas are always welcome, not just regarding topics but ANY change you would think benefits our little Thursday night exercise in ABS. Just don't start your mail/comment with "you have to..." or "you should..." :D

Houston - the DAQ has landed

And so it ends... Ye Wilde Quiz Champions League Season 6. It was A LOT of fun and brought new faces, new challenges, new ideas and ...New Champions who shall reign supreme and defend their long-chased title tooth&nail - Ladies and Gentlemen - DAQ! 

Season 6 saw 37 (say that quickly 3 times in a row ;)) different teams, that's a new record (and our nationality count is up to 27 now).
With a tear in our eye we bid goodbye to old (semi)regulars Ponyclub, Rutherfords & Nu: Team and welcome new (semi)regulars Buddybrand, Bedebow and - from next week on - Pigs in Space :D. Formerly known as TWN, formerly known as 'we used to be Moose'.
Also JEDERZEIT bitte gern wiederkommen dürfen Bernd & Die Brötchen und Schwaaadfon-Asses. WQ#74 will always be one of my favouritest quizzes ;) .. Of course we do welcome back anyone who has ever had the pleasure to play our silly little games, and of course we welcome any new teams who want to have fun, make freinds, and need a good excuse to spend a Thursday night in a pub ;). Anytime.
After having the bestest day of 2013 yesterday (Newcastle 3 - Chelsea 2 - Vive La Révolution!!) I now look forward to Ye Wilde Quiz Champions League Season 7 - kicking off on Thursday 7 February, 8.15pm sharpish ;). Almost booked out so do reserve your table NOW or miss the first game ;)
There will be a few new rules/changes but nothing drastic or dramatic so let's just ease into Season 7. And try to take that cup off DAQ. CHALLENGE!!!
