Great Balls of .. water
Nach anfänglichen Bedenken hab ich dann doch 9 schöne Fragen zu deutschen Wasserballregeln (Stand: 2010!!) gefunden - lustige Sportart, das.
Wer selbst noch mal blättern will - guckst du hier. Unter 'Regelwerke - Wasserball'...
And I'm not sure you'll find the rules in English but let's assume you have a decent chance of getting some of the answers (especially when multiple choice) if you look here... or here for the international version. Shouldn't be all that different.
It's a fun sport, and a friendly one too.
Coming to a quiz near you .. probably this year - Synchronschwimmen. Sehr viel lustiger noch.

Review, preview & wet balls
First of all, the promised points, 60s style.
Next, plans for #42 on Thursday 19 August 8pm.
Since I'm somewhat short of time to prepare elaborate rounds - back to the classic quiz :)
Round 1 - geography, history, science
Round 2 - sports, music, TV&movie
Pictures - the usual BS - I will make time for new genetic experiments :D
Yogi Round - still up to Companion should they choose to appear on Thursday, and send me their suggestion by Tuesday night 9pm.. OR thanks to Marx Brothers (and you want to make sure they never lose again) deutsche Wasserballregeln. Or German water polo rules. Yep. We all have to live with it :)
Music - Rainbow Round. Songs with colours in the title. Red Rose Café, Blue Hawaii, Yellow Submarine, Pink Cadillac... you get the drift.
We start at 8pm, and even if we don't - we'll finish 11pm at the VERY latest. I have to be at the doctor's Friday morning bright, early, and sober. Till then, or Thursday 29th.

Das üben wir noch mal
Das mit dem pünktlich anfangen, und aufhören...
Durchaus berechtigter Einwand, und auch nicht zu ersten Mal. Und der gute Vorsatz war auch da (will's nicht alleine auf den Regen und spätes Erscheinen schieben :). Wenn im September die Quiz-Saison wieder richtig los geht wird einiges anders (neue Spielregeln, wir finden endlich raus was wir mit den Treuepunkten anfangen können.. oder ihr zumindest) und die Länge des Quizzes wird durch Raucherpausen (oder das Entfallen derselben) geregelt. Ich kann nicht immer schon um 7 da sein um rechtzeitg anzufangen, da ich oft knirsch arbeiten muß.
Anyroad, das Ganze gibt's noch explizit in den nächsten 2 Wochen, auch zum Runterladen und Reinziehen, und dann sehn wir mal.
In der Zwischenzeit. Da das Wetter momentan gegen Herbst tendiert und die Urlaubszeit für viele zu Ende geht probieren wir einfach am Donnerstag den 19. August UM 20.00 UHR!!! das Ganze noch mal mit Inquizition #42. Themen hab ich noch nicht, wer Vorschläge hat - legt los. Yogi-Runde steht Team Boris zu, oder Companion (oder wir machen 'Wasserball').. (bitte per email an die unten stehende Adresse, bis spätestens Dienstag 20.00 Uhr)

Better late than never, the rounds for Inquizition #41. Tomorrow, Thursday 12 August, 8pm. We do start on time.
Round 1 - brought to you by the letter 'O'.. not saying the questions are simple but it's made a bit easier because all your answers have to start with the letter 'o'. In English and German :D , mix round.
Round 2 - Swinging Sixties. Basically a history round, anything from the years 1960 till 69. Space Race, Bay of Pigs, Woodstock, Canada's new flag, Barbie got Ken... and the MerryKwizMiz was born. Yep.
Round 3 - Cult TV - tunes, shows, characters, and scenes... from the swinging sixties to the 21st century. Guckst du hier .. but only in Inglisch :(

Die nächste bitte..
Da sich niemand zu Wort gemeldet hat findet die Inquizition #41 am Donnerstag den 12. August statt. Wir fangen diesmal pünktlich an damit die Raucher ihre Pause, und die Weitgereisten ihre Bahn kriegen. Stellt eure Uhren.

By God, she's got it!!
Ever since Thursday and this genetic experiment,
I'd been searching my files and racking my brain. But the answer to the question "who is Johnny Depp's bottom half?" eluded me.. till now. I took the pic apart again, and found the Johnny Depp original in my files.
So far, so dead easy. All that was left now was this part
but still I couldn't find a matching picture in the celebrity folders. It was driving me nuts because I knew I knew the nose.. and quite a few guesses and googles later, hey presto!!

I don't have the original picture I used but here's proof.
Riddle solved. If it's any consolation, I wouldn't have got the 1 point either :D
As for the doubting Thomases who didn't believe it was the Hoff - guckt ihr hier!
Admittedly a tricky one but hey, life as a quizzer is not fair!
And for those who missed last week's fun - a few genetix zum Üben.
I've got lovely new ones already, for Thursday or rather next Thursday, since no-one has raised their hands for 5 August...
Oh, and the mystery object of the week was this..
can't see what's wrong with a knife but then...
