We did it!!!!

Twofiveoooohhh is history, and something that might be a question in round one of one of the next 250...
Befittingly it was a great night, with lots of laughs, assorted BS, old friends & new ones, nuts & nutters, copious amounts of alcohol and even a cake!!!
The usual roundup and stuff will appear here soon, as well as pictures (Rita die Fleißige has sent some already!!!) and leftovers..
and at 5pm on Friday there was still some cake left.. if you get down to the Kilkenny real quiky... :)

THANK YOU, DANKE, MERCI, HVALA!!! for your presence, presents (hey, where were the flowers?!? :) and sticking with this quiz malarkey for so long :) Here's looking forward to the next 250 or at least 25 .. or 2 ...

I'd be grateful and quite chuffed if anyone could bring a camera on Thursday.. we need pictures of the BIG ONE, seeing that we'll have an eclectic bunch of regulars old and new... and what better time to start a Wall of Fame..

And for ze Dshermans - ich wäre wirklich dankbar und erfreut wenn irgend jemand am Donnerstag 'ne Kamera mitbringen würde. Wir werden eine erlesen Schar von alten & neuen Stammteams haben und es gibt wohl kaum eine bessere Gelegenheit eine "Wall of Fame" (für Ossis: Straße der Besten :) zu beginnen...

The Big One is just around the corner.. The motto is "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" and I'm beginning to check old files for questions that might fit in there..
Obvioulsy there will be some of the best/wickedest/funniest from 5 years of Quikys, as well as some I might "borrow" from fellow quizmasters round the globe.. and certainly new ones for the picture round.. and the music might be blue...
Should anyone have suggestions or ideas as to what other features we should include - do let us know. The expected number of teams rules out games rounds tho...

Quite a few heads in last night - 63 was my count.. not too shabby for the summer.. and nicely nicked 2nd place for Team 42 (apparently the answer to almost everything :).. and you wanted to leave.. have you got no faith?!?!?

The successor to our (too) long-running Prediction of the Week is.... (drum roll)

Crazy Caption of the Week!!! (ta-daaaa!!!!)

Simple and goes like this.. every week you'll get a picture that - in itself - might not be all that hilarious and you have to come up with a funny caption. You can give me your lines on the night or else leave a comment on the blog or mail them to quiz_miz@hotmail.com. The deadline is always the Wednesday afore the next quiz, at midnight..
I thought it'd be more fun (as the answers are going to be read out on Thursdays and also published here). Additionally it gives non- or semi-regular teams a chance to get a valuable point...
Obviously I'm judge and jury on that but make me laugh (or at least grin) and you'll get your point :)

Und der Fairness und des guten Verständnisses halber das Ganze in Deutsch. Unsere langgediente Vorhersage der Woche zur Erlangung von Bonuspunkten wurde abgeschaftt.. Dafür gibt's jetzt die Crazy Caption of the Week - lustige Bildunterschriften die gleichfalls Bonuspunkte bringen können. Jede Woche gibt's ein neues Bild das an sich nicht notwendigerweise zum Brüllen ist. Wenn euch eine lustige Bildunterschrift / Anmerkung dazu einfällt könnt ihr diese entweder am Quizabend abgeben oder aber hier im blog oder per mail hinterlassen. Einsendeschluß ist jeweils der Mittwoch vor dem nächsten Quiz um Mitternacht. Die Punktevergabe liegt in meinem Ermessen - bringt mich zum Lachen (oder wenigstens zum Grinsen) und ihr könntet mit einem Bonus ins nächste Quiz starten..
