Right Queops, before life interrupts me again, and puts spokes in my wheels. and totally before WQ#171 (which is round the corner I can see it from here and it's looking good) - points & table after WQCLS13 Game 8.
Once more BRAZIL managed to leave the others trailing in their dust but not by much. BallZ* have apparently decided that it's time to step to the plate and f***orget the Streichergebnisse. Let's Drop The Ball could not follow last week's win with another top spot but hey, 4 games still to play, who knows...
Newbies Here for Beer (now: Here for Nuts) had Yogi and left me 3 topics on Thursday of which I have chosen a nice one. No, really ;)  Alas, they never sent me a mail so I can't let them know which one... Should be fun on Thursday. Girls, if you read this - get in touch by mail or fb message and I'll tell you :)

New year, new luck. Or maybe just luck favouring the prepared. Or the bold. Or both.
Anyroad, a fun night (before, during AND after, thankyouverymuchormorelikemuchasgracias) with Let's Get Quizzical taking first CL 'gold' in the new year, and CannonballZ* massively overshooting (pun not intended) their own mark of 67,5 :)
Despite 'only' coming third, BRAZIL bettered the worse of the two remaining Streichergebnisse, and widened the gap at the top. A wee bit. Still, 5 games left, who knows...

S.O.A.P. have Yogi again (and 8 hours left), if not I'll be happy to pick all 3 :). Not that I'm running out of ideas (au contraire) but if you have Lieblingsthemen you'd like to see included, let me know (nothing along the lines of Harry Potter, gossip, boy/girlbands or celebrity or glamour TV shows thankyouverymuch). Same goes for music rounds.

Off now to enjoy the rest of the sunny weekend, but already looking forward to Thursday. We still have a few tables for WQ#170...

WQCLS13 - Anpfiff zur Rückrunde / PotW

Greeting, Quoeps, and to thos I haven't seen or spoken yet a happy, healthy, and knowledgeable new year.
Now that we got that annual New Year's Review quiz out of the way (thanks again to the attending teams for a very fun start into quiz 2015) the Wilde Quiz Champiosn League season 13 gathers pace again. Only (or still) 6 games to play and while BRAZIL (aka DAQ*****) might have a slender lead, all hope is not lost yet for the chasing pack.

We start into the second half of the season with WQ#169 on Thursday 15 January. 8.15pm as usual ;)
Since neither S.O.A.P. nor Schnitzelchen sent me any Yogi suggestions, all 3 rounds will be mine... the topics, that is.

Music finally comes from Down Under :D

2014 Review Fifty Fifty

In case of confusion:

you have 2 choices for the 2014 Review Quiz (for we are going to have one) - Champions League or no Champions League.
Each team gets only one vote so use the week to discuss with your team mates. We count the votes 'live' on Thursday night.
In either case, 'normal' rules apply (joker round, 18 points/round, no 2 points for spot-on answers etc...)

Happy New Quiz Year

Forgive me Father (Christmas), for I have not thinned. And it has been 2 hours since my last piece of chocolate. No, really, that was the last one....
That was the old year..

Howay, queops, I hope you all made it safely into 2015, and are sufficiently sober to read this till the end :D
Now that the holidays are over, the last Lebkuchen has been devoured, and (hopefully) the last Böller been fired at unsuspecting strangers, it's time to return to RL, in the form of New Year's resolutions (NOWAYJOSÉ), work, excercise, crappy football and - of course - wild quiz nights.

We kick off the 2015 Wilde Quiz Year with WQ#168 which, as tradition demands, is a 2014 review quiz. Whether it'll count in the Champions League or not, I cannot say yet. Not much feedback on the matter so far, and since I don't expect any more I'll probably decide on the night.
Anyroad - do check the usual sources to fill the gaps in your memory. We'll have questions on 2014 politics & people, science & technology, arts & culture, sports, music, gossip & social media... Music round will be 2014 songs and even the picture round will include some hints of 2014.

And since it's been 3 weeks of under-used brain cells, and our lovely little Quizmas party is but a faint memory, I expect queops to be queuing to be part of 2015's first cerebral challenge. If you have a table, lean back and memorize the highlights of 365 days that already seem so far away. If you're still table-less - Oscar's is only a phone call away. Last I checked we still had 5 tables.

I look forward to getting the band back together, and starting the new quiz year in the same fun way that we left the old one.

Oh, and since it's a 2014 review quiz, Schnitzelchens carry their Yogi over to WQ#169 on 15 January. Which means we might have 2 Yogi rounds on that day, should WQ#168 'lasties' a) not be Schnitzelchens, and b) return for #169. Intriguing...

There will be new features in 2015, and also a few new rules but all shall be revealed in time. Of which we have enough in 2015 :)
